The Hepburn Springs Chalet is Mamma's 'go to' accommodation when having a short stay in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs locale. It's a great place to come back to after a day of exploring - and there's A LOT to explore around here. The reason that Mamma keeps coming back is not just that it's relatively inexpensive compared to other places to stay in the area - it's the character (you know Mamma loves her vintage). With lovely mid century mixed with kitsch decor in the communal rooms - you feel like you've stepped back in time. The Chalet Lounge Bar has a pool table, leather lounges and of course a bar so you can sit back, sip on a scotch and chat about the day. As there are another 3-4 shared areas to relax in it never seems crowded and you don't really need to spend a lot of time in the rooms. The rooms are small and simple but all you need for a nights rest. So is it kid friendly? It is - they welcome families, just be aware that the building is old and the walls are thin so try to keep it down to that dull roar, keeping in mind the other guests. Mamma is sure to be back here as the hosts and the overall space made us feel like we were just hanging out with some (very accommodating) friends!
Mamma's special mention: There is so much to do in this fantastic part of the world - Mamma's favourite Lavandula, The Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, The Mill Markets, The Daylesford Market and Central Springs just to name a few.
