house of injera, footscray

The House of Injera is serving up food from the heart, in the heart of Footscray and quite frankly they have stolen Mamma’s foodie heart. The warm and fuzzy feeling you get dining here can be attributed to a combination of the genuine friendly service, the vibe of the fully renovated dining space, the music playing and most of all - of course the food.

This is a real family affair, with brother and sister team - Ewan and Wes taking front of house, giving their mum’s authentic Ethiopian food centre stage to shine and be shared with all of us!

The food is comforting and tasty, with something for everyone. They can cater for a number of different dietary needs and for those of us who like things spicy and those crazy cats who don’t!

Mamma’s special mentions: Mamma loved seeing the huge banquet injera trays being delivered to the tables - it really is a fantastic spot for a family gathering. There are highchairs available and also options that suit the kids too (just ask the staff for some suggestions if you are not sure)
