Welcome to Frenchy Footscray! Mamma is a lover of all things French so practically did a flying jeté at the chance to go and get a croissant and coffee! The small bar is really sweet, simple and different from the usual cafe scene. Foodie's will flock here for some authentic French cuisine and Mamma can vouch that the food is DELICIOUS. This is a 'small' eatery so no room for highchairs and pram maneuverability could be tricky when it's busy but there is a ramp for access - plus the chocolate croissant is a nice treat for the kids and you of course, crusty on the outside, fluffy in the middle with a chunk of good quality choccie on the inside. Next time you feel like getting a little La Parisienne, pop in to Small French Bar, Mamma will be going again, and again....perhaps 'sans enfants' next time for a little cheeky cheese and wine or $1 Oysters on THURSDAYS!
Mamma's special mentions:There is a range of cheese, baguettes and house-made terrines 'a la' deli style on offer to stock your own pantry (which is exactly what Mamma did!) oh and you are a stones throw from Footscray Market if you want to do some more fab fresh food shopping!
For late night kid free visits, walk up to Littlefoot Bar for a before drink or apres meal nightcap!
