The Mamma's are huge fans of the delicious food, fab service and ambience at the Small French Bar! So, it is only fitting we should be a tad excited to visit their sister cafe across the road...yes, on the FIRST day they were open...keen much?!
The Small French Cafe is exactly that - it is tiny and serves up a yummy array of baguettes, croissants, choccie croissants and of course coffee. The smallness here makes it really a rock up and go kinda place but there is an area where you can pull up a stool and have a chat with the staff and other patrons and of course you will want to order a second cup of coffee and in Mamma's case, squeeze in some 'dessert'!
Can we point out that yes we know they have a 'snail' as a logo - Mamma likes to think that this is less about 'eating' the critters and more about taking a moment, taking your time to slowly slowly enjoy good quality food at both the bar and the cafe. For sure. Right?
Mamma's special mentions: The Footscray Library is not far away (about a five minute walk) and a good option pre-or post a visit here.
