little saigon market, footscray

** Unfortunately this market was destroyed by fire late 2016**

In the centre of the hustle and bustle of Footscray there is the hustlier and bustlier Little Saigon Market. Packed to the rafters with every type of Asian ingredient you can think of - and many you've never even heard of.  It's an experience to well, experience.  This is the place to get things like your peking duck (inc the pancakes), abalone and those Malaysian steamed sponge cakes. Plus great prices on your other favourite market items.  Mamma says know what you need before you go, cause it can be a little overwhelming, and most of the shopkeepers don't speak any English so don't bother asking what that weird looking fruit is.  Thats all part of the fun experience though.

Mamma's special mention:  It wouldn't be a proper trip to Footscray without grabbing a cannoli from T Cavallaro and Sons Pasticceria
