‘It takes a village to feed a village’ - how fantastic and a very appropriate location to set up Mabu Mabu’s permanent home - here in the Yarraville Village.
Mabu Mabu is a saying from the Torres Strait that means 'help yourself’. The food here is inspired by our Australian native herbs, fruits and spices, you will even find Crocodile and Kangaroo on the menu. Mamma tucked into the bush taco’s, damper (with berry jam) the waffles and the purple yam crisps. All the items on the menu have a taste of something indigenous. Oh, and the coffee (Proud Mary) is amazing.
Most locals will know this place as the old ‘Cobb Lane’ - the now bright blue dining space is cosy and very welcoming. Service is amazing with both brekkie and lunch on the menu.
Mamma LOVES the homemade sauces here - the organic sriracha, tom sauce and the pineapple hot sauce! Yummy on your taco’s and we also grabbed a couple of bottles to go too.
