portarlington grand hotel, portarlington

The historic Portarlington Grand Hotel on the Bellarine has completed her full make over recently and it is STUNNING. This old girl has been transformed from an old tired institution to the jewel of Portarlington.

There are plenty of areas to enjoy here too in all seasons. First there is the atrium and lawn areas - they are fresh and bright and the open air feel brings in the sunlight and bay breezes.

Then there is the bistro with its warm feel for cozy pub lunches with the gorgeous mural of sea creatures on the outside wall painted by artist Alex Sugar - especially created so that you can view it while in this space
The menu is full of favourites and it is sooo tasty - Portarlington is famous for its mussels so Mamma says you must try them!

If you are here with mates the beautiful front bar is great for a catch up and you can even stay upstairs in the incredible accommodation. Why would you EVER want to leave?

The whole project has been designed by the architects and designers of the AMAZING recent Espy renovation and you can tell. The style, attention to detail and vintage feel is similar.

It may be stunning here but it is also unpretentious and friendly. The perfect place to enjoy with friends and family.

Mamma’s special mentions: Take a wander around the foreshore of this lovely hamlet or let the kids play at the fantastic Portarlington Park Playground.

Also - you know you can take the Port Phillip Ferry here from Docklands…
