Choosing your fave playground is like trying to decide who your fave kiddo is…..it is not possible. Each playground has something unique, something special and the all-important fun factor has to be BIG to make it to Mamma’s Fave Playground List.

Expect to spend a bit of time here as there is heaps to do and as an added bonus the park is directly under the flight path to the airport so we spotted heaps of real life planes coming in to land!
Mamma loves a playground that only improves with age - this is one of them. Mamma first visited this playground when it was opened in 2014, and is pleased to report that SEVEN YEARS ON, it is better than ever!

You could be forgiven for thinking you drove to Werribee but somehow landed in New York when you arrive at this awesome skate park - fit for little tykes and adults because it uniquely caters for beginners and pros.

This park has had a relatively new makeover and it is stunning. This nature inspired play space has all the faves like flying fox, climbing structures, swings and pump water play - but Mamma really loves the ocean themed carved tree sculptures that really capture the feel of the area

Another little upgraded playground in Brimbank has made Northumberland Road Playground a very enjoyable space. There are swings, a climbing frame with monkey bars and slides, spinner and undercover BBQ area.
Ahoy there! Climb the riggings and scrub the decks, this playground is for climbers and pirates at play! There is a giant climbing frame with three nests, rope monkey bars, slides, balance ropes, climbing walls and ropes, swings and more!
We love when councils invest in the local parks and playgrounds of neighbourhoods in the West. This is exactly what Brimbank have done here in their upgrade of the Waterfield Park Playground in Cairnlea.
This park is SOOO much fun!! The climbers are going to LOVE this park - with nets, bouldering walls and frames to manoeuvre, plus a GIGANTIC slide to zoom back down on. We knew kids would love this slide.
Ninja Warrior look out! This training ground has all the obstacles needed to train up the little and not-so-little ninja superstars!
This play space is quieter and surrounded by lovely trees. As the name implies, this is a playground inspired by nature, with lots of sensory experiences to be had.
The eagerly anticipated nature playground has finally landed ‘On Country’, here at Pipemakers Park, and Mamma and the kiddies couldn’t be happier!
This playground has been designed in such a way to invite creative and mindful play, and to utilise those gross motor skills, meaning your kids will be totally WORN OUT! And while the kids are off making up obstacle courses, you can relax. Mamma rarely comes across a playground this tranquil.
The new Junior Bike Skills Track at Hansen Reserve will have your little ones levelling up bike and scooter skills in no time! Let them ride over bumps and humps, sweep around corners and then build up speed to follow the track past the footy oval and down into the playground, for an action packed day out!
Green Gully Reserve is a real treat. The whole area is very spacious with plenty of room for picnics, ball games and to just generally spread your wings!
Complete with a WATER ZONE with water-squirting elephant, look-out tower with slides and rope climbers, basketball half-court, BBQ and picnic pavilion, an area for skateboards/scooters, swings and a spinning roundabout, oval with football goals, mini trampolines

Footscray’s Play Space is a wonderful all abilities playgrounds. There is something everyone can enjoy here with a path and soft fall that goes all the way around the park there is a good range of play options for most ages.
Boys and girls - as we start our descent into Tarniet - please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position for landing.
Mamma says - both little ones and bigger kiddos will love exploring the 'life sized' wooden pirate ship at Riverside Park. The attention to detail on the Black Sapphire Ship is very cool.
