Joyce rides her bike everywhere with her two Little Ones - you might have seen her with her cargo bike pootling around the West! This fab Footscray Mamma is the 'go-to' gal for everything that is stylish and practical about cycling. Mamma Knows West recently got to find out more about her online store CycleStyle and had to ask 'what is a cycling skirt garter'?

What inspired you to open CycleStyle? I wasn't very excited with the usual cycling accessories and couldn't find the range available in other countries available here in Australia so I decided to source things myself and Ta Da! CycleStyle was born.

What's exciting you about your business at the moment?
Owning CycleStyle store has opened up doors to work with councils, local organisations and passionate people to increase the profile of cycling as a mode of transport. I am excited about combining my passion for food, the West and cycling as The Squeaky Wheel and I are holding Westie Women Food Rides in 2016. The series of rides have been a sell-out every time and we've had such great feedback about women feeling more confident being on the roads and discovering new food!

What has been the biggest shift for your business from pre-family to now?
The amount of time I can spend on the business and the events need to work around family commitments.

What keeps you motivated?
Because it's my business, I am motivated by the positive feedback I receive and it helps that I am passionate about it.

What are the most popular gifts this Christmas? The Bicycle Wine Rack for grown ups and the nutty watermelon or dots helmet for the kids.

What's your favourite thing to do in the West?
Shopping at Footscray Market. It is one of the best things about living in Footscray plus me and the family love cycling the Maribyrnong River Trail and popping into the Happy River Cafe.
