Werribee Zoo could possibly be Mamma's favourite all round family destination in the west. There is so much to do here for all ages and it is constantly being improved. Start with a stroll around the zoo seeing the monkeys, lions, african dogs, hippos and cheetahs. Pop into the cafe and have lunch with the meerkats, then step onto the safari bus for a magnificent and informative trip through the wilds of Africa. Don't forget to have a play in the Ranger Kids section on those chilly days and in the warmer months make sure to bring a change of clothes for the hippo water play.
Mamma's special mention: Expect to meet all kinds of animals, lions, gorillas, meerkats and more - the possibilities for adventure and fun really are endless. make sure you check out Mamma's Hot Five Tips for Visiting Werribee Zoo to get the most out of your trip here.

We have created a unique experience for visitors, with interactive activities like face painting, animal encounters, crafts, dress-ups, hair braiding, music and dance, and more! Each week will feature a different ambassador animal, with the day’s activities tying into this and one of Zoos Victoria’s great conservation campaigns.
