When owners Sam and Sasha were looking for a spot to open their wine bar, the west begged for them to choose Altona - and so the search began and they found the perfect spot. Now we can all celebrate in style at Metro Cellar Door.

Having been in the wine and beer game for a while in the west, Sam knows his craft beer, artisan wine and select spirits. You can also enjoy a few tapas and nibbles from the menu too. The fit out is luxe and the artwork by local artist Catherine Anicic creates a cosy and fancy feel.

Located across from the Altona station, it's accessible for a bevvy or two and a stroll down Pier St to the beach or just a laid back catch up with friends.

They also have plans to add tables outside and in the alleyway, Mamma says make plans to head to Metro Cellar Door for a peeky and a cheeky.
