Mamma has loved this The Vic Hotel in Footscray since its renovation a few years back. It’s a pub that still feels like a pub, an updated space that still feels original. The food is incredible from entree to dessert - the buffalo wings, the mussels, the burger and oh my word, the honeycomb parfait… oh, and the Sunday Roasts are amazing! This is one to keep coming back to.

Mamma LOVES the stunning art deco building - it almost make you feel like you’re looking at the Flat Iron Building in New York while you’re standing on a bustling corner in the inner west! The food is amazing with necessary staples of parma and burgers, but with fantastic options like the bouilibaise and papaya squid salad.

The Park is a family friendly gastro pub with some super style in the heart of Werribee! This has been one of Mamma's fav westie pubs for a while now - always GREAT food and a great relaxed atmosphere. Every season there is a new menu to try, so Mamma just keeps coming back! The menu has a great variety of meals so it’s really hard to choose - everything is absolutely amazing.

Well this place certainly has everything Mamma loves.  It's such a cosy place in the winter with its fireplace and stone walls, and then on nice days there is the great outdoor deck and HUGE expanse of grass AND the old boat & sandpit for the kiddies to play too.

This amazing art deco building hides some treasure in Newport. The Junction Hotel has it all - amazing charm, a spacious Beer Hall which is a great relaxed spot to come and have a delicious pub meal with the family - eat indoor or outdoor - and the food is fantastic with kids menu, 14 craft beers on tap, and so much more. Oh, make sure you taste test their hearty Sunday Roast, it's delicious!

Down the alley and up the staircase from uber cool Slice Girls lies a wonderful world of happiness.  It's comforting, and warm (sometimes with toasty fire) , and rustic-ly gorgeous and.... just really cool.

The service is great and Mamma's crew love the little colouring in sheets and crayons - good time fillers waiting for your very promptly served meals.  Kids eat free here on Tuesdays!

Guys, La Tortilleria is not your average Mexican Restaurant. This is the real deal, authentic Mexican street food.

Set in that iconic blue building in Kensington, La Tortilleria was opened in 2011 by Gerardo and Diana to provide US with incredible tasting, fresh Mex. They also sell their incredible white and blue corn tortillas and totopos- made the traditional way from scratch (you can tell), all over - you would have seen them.

The food is AMAZING, the coffee is like tasty velvet, and the Moroccan fit out is gorgeous.  This Middle Eastern cafe is definitely one of Mamma's favourites. Sit inside, sit out front OR sit in the gorgeous courtyard WITH photo booth. Everything on the menu here is a winner - especially if it involves halloumi fries or meat and salad platters, and they cater for vegos and vegans too!
