Set on the lawns of Steampacket Gardens, it’s perfect for a relaxed stroll with a coffee in hand. Plus there’s parking from as little as $1, and bus, tram and train stops are just outside.

Browse through the stalls with some of best value fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan bread, honey, bulk pantry items, cheese, cured meats, pies, free range eggs and more - all in the fab surrounds of Yarraville!

Set up amongst the gum trees, the stalls at The Bohemian Bulla Market is predominantly focused on bohemian wares, so expect lots of dream catchers, crystals, macrame plant hangers, tea, jewellery and leather khussa shoes. There are tarot readers and healers inside and also plenty of stalls selling handmade trinkets, children’s toys, clothing, and more - things you won't find anywhere else!

This popular market in Altona Meadows is in a fantastic spot right next to the AB Shaw Reserve playground - double the fun for you and the kids! The Laverton Market is on every Saturday and Sunday. The Laverton Market has stood the test of time. After over 50 years of trade (since 1974) they still get the crowds. Every Saturday and Sunday (except Christmas Day). Mamma says this the biggest market of its kind in Victoria and a westie 'must visit'. You will find cheap veggies, plants, plenty of tracksuit pants and hot jam donuts - yum!

The Williamstown Farmers Market has been a long-standing favourite in Mamma's family. We always come away loaded up with fresh fruit and veggies, pasta, flowers, cakes, meats and more. The stalls can vary from month to month. Be sure to bring a picnic rug to kick back on and enjoy a fresh scone, hot pie or bacon and egg roll with your morning coffee. The entire market is dog-friendly too!

Mamma loves a good stroll around a farmers market and North Essendon Farmers Market is a real favourite. This place has such a great vibe and a loyal following, rain, hail or shine! Usually live music plays in the background and it’s also dog friendly so your pooch can come along too! You’ll find great coffee, gourmet pies,: freshly squeezed juice, waffles, sauces and relishes, and more!

Market shopping here is like a step back in time to a place where the families weekly shop is not a chore, but a fun little outing. Filled with charm and character, The St Albans market opened in the 70's and not much has changed since then. There are about 30 stalls in total with flowers, fruit and veg, fish shops, butcher, deli, dry goods and more! All the food is fresh and oh so tasty!

Talbot is fair hike from the West (about 90 minutes, this side of the bridge past Ballarat) so leave early to make the most of it!

Altona Beach Market is a cross between a farmers market and a bric-a-brac market with loads of arts, crafts and fruit and veg on offer and a friendly community feel. One stand out feature of this market is that it compliments the Pier St shopping strip, creating a temporary outdoor local shopping mecca.

Mamma loves a good rummage around some secondhand wares and The Amazing Mill Markets in Daylesford has plenty of fab stalls all under the one roof. The Mill is in a few locations but Mamma thinks Daylesford is definitely the best with lots of quality authentic goods with reasonable price tags. The cafe is cute and has a good range of lunch choices to keep you on the move!
