Footscray has a brand new monthly market and Mamma absolutely LOVES seeing the heart of Footscray filled with happy people!

Slow Foodscray takes over Maddern Square and Nicholson Street Mall on the first Sunday of every month, bringing together a great bunch of food, local makers, music, entertainment and plenty for some family fun!

Mamma says, this isn’t really your traditional farmers market. Slow Foodscray is more of a come hungry, grab brunch or lunch and stay a while kind of market.

Think street food with plenty of different things to try. Grab something yummy, find yourself a spot and settle in and soak up some community fun!

The precinct is filled with music playing, face painting for the kids and families filling Maddern Square and spreading out through the mall. It’s kinda part market, part food festival and part community gathering, and Mamma LOVES it!

There are free family activities and entertainment too, animal balloon making and face painting - so it’s an easy Sunday outing with the kiddos.

Catch up with friends, wander the stalls, choose something for lunch, listen to some music and enjoy being amongst it.
