They say to follow the scent of the charcoal because they only roast their meats on coal, giving it that authentic bbq flavour. And it smells great!

Mamma loves seeing sandwiches having their day in the sun. And it seems they just keep getting better! Tuckers in Werribee opened a few months ago and boy, do they have mouthwatering options to try.

The back courtyard is spacious enough for a few prams and has a fake grass area with a few vehicle toys, blackboard and a shade cloth!

Gluttony….Mamma’s favourite sin. A good brekkie or brunch awaits you at one of the most iconic foodie spots in the west. Seddon Deadly Sins has been around for a while now almost 20 years actually and they are still delivering great coffee, great service and a good vibes.

Mama Lor serves up authentic Filipino fare where you are guaranteed to leave absolutely full to the brim. The dishes are traditional and it’s great to have a big Filipino restaurant to dine out with a large group - there’s not many around.

An enclosed dining space with a little kids play zone - Innerbloom in Spotswood is truly a godsend on a day where Mamma just wants to chill at a cafe. Plus, the food at Innerbloom is amazing - everything from burgers to banh mi and pho - and really tasty too! There are sweets and great drinks too, like oreo shakes (yum!). The kiddies love the eggs on toast and chips and nuggets - the perfect choices for the little ones! A great spot to grab a bite with a friend and have a chat while the kids play.

Owner Nicholas is a Williamstown resident and originally from France so you will find a Parisian inspired menu and decor. The food is fresh and oh so fine with delicious baguettes, the best eggs Bennie this Mamma has ever had and an amazing Caesar salad.

Feast your eyes on The Feasting Shed in Werribee - it's so much more than a cafe - it's a feast for the eyes AND the mouth! This lovely cafe sits at the back of the Garden Shed Nursery and it is amazing. There is plenty of room for pram parking too. Guys, La Tortilleria is not your average Mexican Restaurant. This is the real deal, authentic Mexican street food.

Set in that iconic blue building in Kensington, La Tortilleria was opened in 2011 by Gerardo and Diana to provide US with incredible tasting, fresh Mex. They also sell their incredible white and blue corn tortillas and totopos- made the traditional way from scratch (you can tell), all over - you would have seen them.

The food is AMAZING, the coffee is like tasty velvet, and the Moroccan fit out is gorgeous.  This Middle Eastern cafe is definitely one of Mamma's favourites. Sit inside, sit out front OR sit in the gorgeous courtyard WITH photo booth. Everything on the menu here is a winner - especially if it involves halloumi fries or meat and salad platters, and they cater for vegos and vegans too!

If you’re going to get a train from Sunshine, the perfect stop for breakfast or lunch and a coffee has just opened up - My Avocado Cafe.

The Spotswood Kingsville RSL is the perfect family-friendly spot in the Inner West. The Daylesford Hotel, located in the heart of Daylesford recently had a revamp and oh wow it’s gorgeous. The guys from local institutions Cliffy’s and Beppe have created something very special here. Full of charm, the brick building is set back from the street and decked out with boating paraphernalia, giving it a gorgeous old-school vibe.
