birdcage cafe, altona

Adrian and Cath from Bezirk in Altona have done it again! After the success with cafe number 1 - they have opened another super cool cafe in Altona - this time in Harrington Square. Aptly named, this area is often referred to as 'The Birdcage' as the surrounding streets are all named after birds.

Without giving away too many spoilers you can expect to find great quality Campos coffee, swish gold cutlery and rustic wooden table and chair features. The food is yummy, you'll find the same great service and a fab separate play area for the kids - where they can pretend to cook up their own 'food', draw on the chalkbaord, read or chat with their little friends.

With a small kids play area, a courtyard, highchairs, baby change facilities, plenty of room for prams, heaps of easy parking - Mamma says this is going to be a winner on the family front and great for this location in general.

Mamma's special mentions: whilst you are here - pop into the famous Borgs and pick up some pastizzi!
