t cavallaro and sons pasticceria, footscray
/Mamma says a visit to Footscray isn’t complete without tasting one of the iconic cannoli from T Cavallaro and Sons.
This year, this beloved Footscray institution celebrates an incredible 70 years. First opened in 1956 by Tommaso Cavallaro, who brought his traditional Sicilian recipes to Melbourne’s West, this adorable shop has become part of the fabric of the community.
All the delicious cookies, pastries and cannoli are still made on site (of course), using late 19th century Sicilian recipes handed down from generation to generation and you can tell…with every bite.
Still proudly family run, now led by his sons Carmelo and Tony alongside their families, T Cavallaro and Sons continues to serve up the same quality locals have loved for decades.
And what Mamma loves the most - apart from the incredible cannoli - is how genuinely welcoming everyone is. You don’t just walk into a shop here. You feel like part of the family.
Seventy years. Thousands of celebrations. Countless cannoli. Endless smiles!
Mamma says grab a coffee (very good!), stay for a chat and be part of a West tradition that’s still going strong. Oh and HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Mamma!
