Oh, be still, Mamma’s market loving heart! The Geelong City Market only started in Oct 2025 but it has become a favourite in no time. Started by foodie and chef (and Masterchef alumni) Simon Toohey and hospitality and events local Keiren Blood - they have created something special.

Under the dappled light of the pretty tree-lined Little Malop Street you will find the best of the region stallholders - like Common Ground Project produce, Austins Ambrosia pizzas (aaaamazing), and well known favourites like Swedish Baker, Finns Oyster Bar and plenty more. This market is definitely more about quality than quantity though.

One of the highlights is Simon Tooheys masterclass at 11am - an engaging and fun foodie demonstration that runs for about 30 minutes, which has the crowds enthralled, smiling and clearly inspired.

There is also a kids corner, a few seating spots and live music!

This really is a fantastic market and definitely a Mamma fave!
