shorten reserve, west footscray

Do you need a place where you can feel relaxed as a parent while the kids explore and play? Have you got a runner? Then this playground could be a really good option. Located next to an oval this little playground is fully fenced in (there are a couple of gates you need to check are closed) and Mamma can honestly say plonking on a park bench and taking a breath is actually a possibility here.

The playground itself is quite good too, with a large green car/tractor big enough to fit 12 kids! Swings, surfboard, nest swing, climbing frame, sand pit and double slide. There is more than enough to keep the kids happy for an hour or so.

Mamma's special mentions: The Slow Food Market comes across the road to Barrett Reserve every 2nd Saturday, and Dumbo and Migrant Coffee are two great cafes not far from here.
