lost lands festival, werribee park

Seriously, Mamma is getting a bit excited about this one - we are dusting off the old festival boots and camping gear, getting the kids geared up for an epic weekend of fun they won't forget. Imagine a weekend of your fave bands, friends and THE KIDS! With an equally awesome line up of kids entertainment, family activities, bars, art installations, food and fun - this is going to be amazing!

Mamma got to catch up with festival organisers Simon Daly (Falls Festival Founder) and David Strong (The Peninsula Picnic Creative Director & former St Kilda Festival Director) to have a chat about their latest project. With 4 kids between them and over 20 years of festival experience they have thoughtfully designed the festival with both kids and adults in mind to enjoy a full weekend of music and entertainment. The fact Simon has chosen Werribee Park for this festival is fantastic given it's right on our doorstep and this is one of Mamma's favourite places with the beautiful grounds and surrounds. It's perfect. This is the first festival of its kind in Australia and the line up has some of our best known artists. The Waifs, Missy Higgins, The Grates, Architecture in Helsinki, The Bamboos with Tim Rogers, Tash Sultana & Harts for the grown up and then there is The Listies, Teeny Tiny Stevies, The Burnt Sausages, magical entertainers, Pants Down Circus, Children are Stinky (who just won the Children's Choice Award for best show at the Edinburgh Fringe. The biggest Fringe Festival in the world!) and MORE for the kids including jumping castles, games, food and plenty of friends to ignite a love of festivals within.

That is the magic of The Lost Lands and it is coming to Werribee!
