family friendly new years eve 2023, footscray park

Ring in the New Year with City of Maribyrnong’s spectacular Fireworks in Footscray Park. Kicking off at 6pm, this special event draws thousands to the banks of the iconic Maribyrnong River for a night of free live entertainment and an incredible early fireworks display.

Roving entertainment begins at 6.00pm, then the stage entertainment starts at 6.30pm with  Cool Out Sun with their smooth fusion of soul, funk, and jazz.

“Followed by a dynamic Indigenous duo, The Merindas who will take the stage with their mesmerising vocals and infectious disco-pop tunes.

Next you will have to prepare yourselves for an electrifying performance from Regurgitator. Fresh off their Crushing It 2023 Tour and a high-energy October performance supporting KISS, their genre-blending music boasts chart-topping hits like Polyester Girl and Happiness.

To close the evening’s stellar stage line-up, you will be transports back to the late '70s and early '80s and be treated to a dose of nostalgia with Yacht Rock Revival

On top of the outstanding stage line-up you’ll be able to catch roving performances including Sway and Indirect Object. There will also be carnival rides and games to keep the whole family entertained.”

Settle in for an amazing fireworks display which will illuminate the sky from 9.30pm
