piratefest @ seaworks, williamstown
/Arrrgh you heard right, me hearties! PirateFest is barging in to Seaworks these holidays - and Mamma is excited!
It’s not just about learning the history of pirates from the ancient Egyptians, right through to the ‘golden age’18th century pirates, buts it’s an interactive, entertaining and fun experience for the WHOLE family!
”Step inside and wander through immersive sets that bring these wild centuries back to life. Dark taverns, pirate hideouts, and treasure-filled chambers recreate the world these seafaring outlaws once knew. Along the way ye’ll encounter ghostly holographic storytellers, who'll share the daring tales of their adventures upon the high seas.
Scattered throughout the exhibition be genuine historical treasures and artifacts, carefully displayed to reveal the tools, weapons, and riches tied to the age of piracy. From maps and maritime relics to glittering plunder, these objects help tell the remarkable story of how piracy shaped trade, exploration, and the great struggles for power upon the oceans.”
This is an event for the whole family - there is a hunt for hidden riches in the treasure dig, follow clues, and explore hands-on activities.
Heads up, there are some dark sections and areas that might be scary for the littlies. So use your own descretion of whether it may be suitable for your small children.
