Celebrate the arts in the West and check out the Be Bold Festival 2026 presented by Brimbank City Council, this is a family-friendly arts and culture festival that celebrates our diverse, multicultural and bold community.

Mamma says St Albans will come alive with entertainment, fun and a FREE day for families!

Family-friendly fun

Explore Cortex, a huge immersive inflatable installation.
Try nature art, printmaking, lantern-making, neon wearable art, yarn and stitch, and floral art workshops.
Check out bilingual storytime, face painting and roving entertainment.
Discover the interactive Fungi Town workshop
Make a lantern and join the festival’s Mid-Autumn Lantern Parade.

Performances and entertainment

Catch the Djarlo Dance Group, Pacific Island Creative Arts Australia, Pearl Afrikulture Rhythms, Ruby Mae and L2R Dance.
Catch the Resonate Acoustic Youth Music Showcase.
Join a weaving workshop with the Mata’ala Pasifika Weave Mamas.
Experience Dance Lab Live with Sheena Chundee.
Visit Marc Sorbello’s Colourful Stories exhibition, with a celebration from 5pm–6pm.
Finish the day with DJ Prince Zade, The Huxleys and the Lantern Parade.

Food highlights

Watch free global cooking demonstrations in the Cultural Kitchen.
Choose from a range of food vendors throughout the festival.
Book the free St Albans Food Tour, running from 11am–2pm. Places are limited and registration is required.
