august, seddon
/Mamma says there’s a new spot in Seddon that’s definitely worth checking out - August Café.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or settling in for brunch, it’s the kind of place where you’ll be eyeing off the sweet treats (hello cinnamon scrolly bun buns…) just so you can hang around a little longer.
August is a classy corner café with walls of windows flooding the space with natural light and a beautiful wooden interior, making it a cosy, welcoming place for brekkie or brunch.
The menu? It’s as thoughtful as the fit-out. Expect dishes a notch above everyday brunch, with standouts like:
Cauliflower fritters with hummus, eggs and Aleppo pepper (OMG!)
Waffles with feta cheesecake and almonds
A cabinet of divine pastries, cakes and Danishes
The coffee deserves its own mention - so smooth and possibly one of the best you’ll find in the West. Families are welcome too, with high chairs and plenty of little side options to keep everyone happy.
Oh there is an excellent drinks line-up too, iced matcha, fresh juices and homemade spritzes, plus Mimosas and Bloody Marys for hair-of-the-dog mornings or a boozy lunch.
Mamma says pop August Café on your list. It’s beautiful and delicious.
