cà rem gelato, footscray

When most people think of the cultural heritage of Footscray as a suburb, two nationalities come to mind immediately - Italian and Vietnamese. Well, here is a beaut little ice cream joint in Footscray that combines them both. Cà Rem is Vietnamese gelato!

Flavours include avocado, Kopiko, lychee and mint, Yakult and melon and pink dragon fruit! How bananas! (Oh yes, there is also Vietnamese banana!) This is seriously good gelato… Mamma struggled to decide on a flavour, but the coconut and pandan went down so well.

Waffle cones and cups are available or get your gelato in a shake! 1/2 and 1 litre tubs are on offer to take home. The gelato is made fresh onsite, and there are a good amount of tables inside to sit and enjoy. A couple of the tables have cute swing seats the kids just loved, and the little wooden ice cream toys on the tables provided some more fun. They serve coffee here too!

Mamma highly recommends visiting Cà Rem this summer!
