gojo ethiopian cafe & restaurant, sunshine

Sunshine is a great suburb when you want to eat good food, and stopping in for a meal at Gojo is going to leave you seriously satisfied. Delicious, wholesome, tasty Ethiopian fare is served up a-la-carte with either rice or injera.

Mamma’s kiddies loved dipping the yummy injera into the saucy serves of wot. (There are plenty of non-spicy options for the little ones.)

The decor is delightful - including a coffee ceremony setup (you MUST order a coffee ceremony, it’s very theatrical and served with popcorn so the kids can enjoy it too)! Not to mention the coffee itself is divine. And if coffee’s not your jam, Mamma recommends you try the ‘spicy tea’ - a hot and delicious cinnamon tea blend.

Beyond the dine-in menu, and for daytime visits, some bakery treats are available in the window - including muffins and croissants - and there is espresso coffee also available.

Service here is fantastic and the whole atmosphere is very homely. Mamma thinks you would be hard pressed not to enjoy yourself here. We will be sure to come back regularly and try some more dishes at this Sunshine gem!
