kuzu izakaya, woodend

After a hot tip, Mamma went on a mini road trip to visit Kuzu Izakaya, a renowned Japanese restaurant located in Woodend. Nestled among lush trees, the restaurant boasts a beautiful deck, outdoor dining bar, and an indoor dining room. It’s a vibrant destination for both tourists and locals and the buzz in the air is very exciting as soon as you walk through the doors you know you are in for a treat.

Every dish you try is a taste sensation, and we made a note to remember our favorites…..Okonomiyaki kushi with bonito flakes, the amazing crunchy aburi scallop and kingfish sushi, and the stupidly good Ika asparagus mentai udon noodles.

Oh Mamma says the restaurant also offers a kids' menu and highchairs, making it a family-friendly option for early diners. The staff are also amazing and their service sets the tone for an unforgettable experience.

We are already planning to come back to Kuzu Izakaya. Woodend is lovely and if you need a reason to visit - you’ve got one!
