pat's sandwiches, ballarat

Sandwiches are the best. Mamma loves a tasty filling slammed between two pieces of delicious bread - so convenient and so delicious! Well, at Pat’s in Ballarat, expect sophisticated fillings. These are next level sanga’s!

We went with the Schnitz which was a big fat chicken schnitzel smothered in crunchy herby-mayo lettuce and smooshed between two thick slices of high rise white bread - divine.

Mamma had no choice but to “mmmm” out loud and noticed the patron next to her - who was tucking into the toasted Cubano (smoked ham, roast porchetta, swiss cheese, dill pickles and mustard) - did the same… “Mmmmmmm!”

A cheesy toasty is on the menu for the kids, while vegetarian options and daily specials (lamb shank, smoked brisket, mortadella) are on offer until sold out. You can also get any sando on gluten free bread.

Sit on the stools in the window, along the bar by the kitchen or at the couple tables out on the footpath. Or simply order yours to go. As for what to order? Good luck deciding, but when you do, Give Yourself a Pat’s!
