sunshine social, sunshine west

Looking for somewhere new, different and a bit awesome to hang out with friends and family? This is all of the above and then some. Serving up classic burgers, off the grill specialties, sides and salads - this Aussie BBQ style bar, grill and restaurant is really cool.

It is a converted service station on a massive block with heaps of outdoor and indoor dining space. there is also oodles of onsite free parking and they have even kept the toilets on the outside around the corner like the old school servo's used to be be!

It is really unique and Mamma is so pleased a venture like this has landed in this area.

The decor is bright and shiny - an ode to the suburb - it is very cute and you can't help but feel happy here.

They are yet to get a good sized coffee machine so bear that in mind - they soon hope to open for brekkie on weekends.

For the kiddos, there is a fantastic cubby house and play area set up outside on the corner - the cubby is like a mini 'old school' mechanics - so cool. There is also a seperate little table and chairs section fo the kids to colour or read a book from the bookshelf. The milkshakes are good value and there are a few options on the adult menu that are suitable for the little 'pit' crew too.

Mamma's special mentions: This are has one of the best parks in Melbourne around the corner so don't miss visiting Buckingham 'rocket ship' reserve.
