murnalong park, flemington
/Mamma has found a brand new park in Flemington!
Murnalong Park has just opened at Holland Court and it’s already looking like a lovely spot for families to get outside, with more than 5,000 square metres of green space, a colourful playground and plenty of room to run around.
The playground has plenty to keep the kiddos busy, with the main play structure covered in leaves, making it feel like you’re stepping into a little nature garden. There’s also a mini trampoline, ropes, ramps, basket swings, normal swings and three slides to choose from (yes, you heard right!) including a very cute frog popping out from the top of one of them!
There’s also a scooter track for little wheels to whizz around, plus loads of open grass for kicking a ball, playing games or simply letting the kids run wild.
There’s plenty here for parents too, with landscaped gardens, walking paths, outdoor exercise equipment, picnic tables and seating. So whether you’re popping in for a quick play or settling in for a picnic, there’s plenty of space to enjoy this new pocket of Flemington
And we love the name! Murnalong means “bee” and was chosen with Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Elders, reflecting the idea of the park as a place where the community can come together. A sweet new spot for Westie families to discover!
