rippleside inclusive playspace, geelong

Rippleside Inclusive Playspace in Geelong is a must add to your adventure list folks - it might be one of the best parks that Mamma has ever been to (and trust us, we’ve been to a lot!) It really has it all.

The playspace is part of the Livvi’s Place network and was thoughtfully designed in partnership with the Touched By Olivia Foundation, which means it’s fully inclusive and that all kids can play, no matter their age or ability.

There are accessible ramps, big and little slides, climbing ropes, monkey bars, a water play area with sand (yes, that’s code for pack some spare clothes folks!), spinners, seesaws, sensory walls, an in-ground trampoline, double flying fox, swings for all abilities — you name it, it’s there. Mamma’s little ones obsess over the super cute cubby area that is shaped like a car, and love ‘walking the plank’ on the intertwined rope bridge.

It’s all fully fenced (hallelujah), so you’re not constantly chasing escapees, and there are plenty of shady spots and seats for when its time to have a rest. The park has toilets, drink taps and barbecues so you could totally make a day of it. Plus, the space is located right along the Bay Trail next to Rippeside Beach, which means beautiful water views, and a great spot for the kids to have a paddle or just run wild in the open grass once they’re finished playing.

Mamma’s tip: this place gets really popular, especially on sunny days, weekends and school holidays, so it’s worth getting in early! And if you’re desperate for coffee (aren’t we all?), there’s a little spot nearby called No.42 — perfect for grabbing a takeaway before heading down the hill for a play.

Rippleside Inclusive Playspace truly is one of those rare parks that has a bit of everything for everyone - check it out!
