slime lab, district docklands
/If you’ve got a crafty kid who loves getting hands-on (and isn’t afraid of a little mess), then Slime Lab at District Docklands is one to bookmark.
This colourful little spot is all neon lights, bright energy and seriously fun vibes — the kind of place that has kids instantly locked in the second they walk through the door.
The main event here is the slime-making workshop, and it’s honestly such a great experience to watch unfold. Kids are guided step-by-step by one of the assistants, taking them through the whole process — from creating the base, to choosing their colours, scents and all the fun extras like glitter. It’s hands-on, it’s engaging, and it feels a bit special having someone walk them through it properly (instead of Mamma attempting it at home!).
What we love is that it’s not just about slime. There’s a whole creative element woven through the experience, with kids also able to make things like colourful beaded bracelets and keychains.
The space itself is a big part of the appeal — bright, vibrant and full of colour, with that cool neon glow that makes everything feel a bit more exciting. There’s also a small retail section packed with slime, toys and crafty bits and pieces, so don’t be surprised if you leave with a few extras in hand. And if you’re looking for an easy party option, they host kids’ birthdays here too — it’s pretty much a one-stop shop with entertainment and take-home goodies sorted.
Mamma’s tip: you’ll definitely want to book your workshop online before you go!
If you’re chasing something fun, creative and a little bit different, Slime Lab is such a good one to have up your sleeve.
