Mamma loves going to the movies and a visit to the Sun Theatre in Yarraville is one of our fave things to do in the west. And when summer rolls around, the Sun Theatre Outdoor Cinema in Williamstown becomes one of our go-to spots for an easy family night out. Set right on the waterfront at Seaworks, it’s a beautiful way to enjoy outdoor movies with the fam.

You can find a comfy spot, bring your own seat or hire a bean bag before settling in for a classic flick or a new release under the stars. As the sun sets over the bay, the views of our beautiful city are absolutely stunning - the perfect backdrop to a warm summer night.

And yes, the famously delicious Sun Theatre choc tops are there too. There’s a full candy bar on site and the Pirates Tavern is serving up drinks so you can enjoy the night your way. Whether you’re catching a family favourite, a cult classic or the latest release, the whole experience feels relaxed, fun and very westie.
