You may have been to the Werribee Zoo before, but Mamma thinks that going to the Sunset Safari is a whole new adventure.
This special after-hours evening lets you explore the zoo at dusk and spend time with some of the world’s most iconic animals.
Hop on the safari bus for an extended guided tour across the savannah and see the giraffes, zebra and more while your guide shares fun insights along the way. Even if you’ve done the safari before, everything feels different at dusk and it’s a lovely time to see the animals in a whole new light.
You can also explore the Waterhole and Elephant trails after hours. Wander the Waterhole Trail, spot the oryx and ostrich as the sun sets and then continue to the Elephant Trail for a twilight look at the elephant herd.
The night comes alive with drums, song and dance inspired by the rhythm of Africa, and you can choose to enjoy cocktails, snacks or an African-inspired BBQ. Dinner options are also available at the Meerkat Bistro. Food and drinks are sold separately.
