The summer opening date has now been released – Surfcoast Sunflowers will open on Friday, 9 January!

Sunflowers are always such a showstopper, and seeing them all in bloom in the one spot is truly stunning. Surfcoast Sunflowers will be open on January 9 for pick-your-own sunflowers and the chance to take beautiful photos in a sea of golden blooms.

Once you park in the adjacent paddock, you’ll head over to the gorgeous Alice the Airstream to chat with the friendly team and get tips on where to find the best spots. From there, you’re free to wander at your own pace – meander through the patch or stroll around the outside.

The sunflowers grow nice and close together, so you really feel immersed in the field, with a few wider paths that make it easy to move through. Along the way, you’ll spot hay bales and a tractor – perfect places to stop and snap a few piccies

You should bring your own secateurs - but they do have a few spare if you forget. Oh and wear closed toes shoes, and yes there are plenty of bees so just walk around gently, no running.

They sell some soft drink so afterwards you can cool down under one of the umbrellas or BYO little picnic! Love it.
