The Show is BACK!! The Melbourne Royal Show is an event you MUST head to with the family. Most of us have amazing memories of going to the show as kids (and teens) - and now we get to make those memories for our kids and for ourselves.

There are animals and animal shows, rides, food, music, entertainment, competitions and of course SHOW BAGS!

Mamma says this is a very well organised event and they do an amazing job providing fun for the whole family. It’s hectic, crazy, delicious and FUN so do not miss it this year!

The after 5pm activities are incredible this year - the night of the Horse display, fireworks and live music - Discounted entry after 5pm too!

Of course those fluffy friends - The baby animals (not the band ACTUAL baby animals) buy a $2 cup of feed and oooh and ahhh at the cute babies!

Mamma's hot tips:

get there EARLY, gates open at 9:30am BUT we were in at 9am - it is relatively quiet and you can get your bearings and a car park if you are driving (usually at the nearby primary school for about $25 bucks)
strollers and prams are OK if you plan on leaving mid arvo (3-4 hours is usually enough for my little kiddies) where it's not too crazy busy, they provide a good place to load up your goodies and come in handy for tired little legs.
go to the Animal Nursery as soon as its opens (both the kids and the animals are fresh and again it's not too crowded)
go to the Farmhouse Early too and check the program of activities
definitely pop in to the Food Pavilion - there are some amazing food stalls and plenty to choose from for kids and big people.
