Set back from the main streets of Williamstown - 10 minutes from the beach and a stone’s throw from the beautiful botanic gardens you will find a very well kept local secret.

This iconic and much-loved pub in Williamstown has awesome new owners, it’s had a refresh and has re-opened. Hooray!

There are now three spots to drink and dine. The beer garden - which has its very own bar and is a super spot for a sunny arvo sesh. There is also the lovely indoor dining space plus the newly installed outdoor area out the front.

Drinks are in abundance of course and well-curated but the food is next-level impressive!

Expect great service from the team here. Expect great quality tasty food. Expect to have a great time. Mamma says Head Chef Ash Bettenay knows exactly what us westie folks needs. they make everything in house and find only the best cuts and freshest ingredients to create a menu delivering one of the best ‘pub’ meals you will find in Melbourne.

Come here for a pot and a parma and stay a little while…or dig in and enjoy a long leisurely entree, mains and dessert. You won’t be disappointed with whatever takes your fancy on any given day.

Mamma did contemplate keeping this one under her hat but it would be very selfish. Oh, and we have a permanent reserve here in the beer garden now anyway….that table (next to the bar) is taken!

Mamma’s special mentions: Williamstown Beach is right there about a 10-minute walk and so is the Williamstown Botanic garden about a 5-minute walk. So lovely for a stroll after lunch or dinner.
