FREE LIT festival in Werribee for 2024 - Plan Your Night

This March, Wyndham Park in Werribee will be transformed into a glowing wonderland as LIT returns with a fresh new program of stunning light installations to explore. This is such a great event!

Presented by Wyndham City, this FREE light-based experience will open on 8 March and run over 14 spectacular nights.

Each year LIT offers something new and wonderful to enjoy, with this year’s program shaping up to be one of the best yet, with all-new lighting installations to enjoy.

Program Highlights
Make music with the spectacular trumpet flowers and Chronoharp, be mesmerised by a giant glowing moon, wander along the glimmering nature trail, be wowed by playful night parrots, plus lots more.

Trumpet Flowers by Amigo & Amigo – shrink down to size below the glowing trumpet flowers and contribute to the musical melodies.

Birdsong by Skunk Control – wander down the nature trail and look out for the beautiful sculptural birds, who have gathered to form a chorus and protect local species and sooth the community…but listen closely, do they have a warning for us?

Bloom by The Indirect Object – relax amongst the gentle, soft pink inflatable gumnuts and flowers.

Ursula Lassos The Moon by Studio Vertigo – from UK artists, an ethereal, swirling glowing moon has been plucked from the sky and harnessed by a rope lasso.

Night Parrots by Chalk River Labs – hypnotic, kaleidoscopic light washes over the giant night parrots which were until recently thought to be extinct.

Nocturnal Neighbourhood by Christie Widarto – as night falls, the animated nocturnal neighbourhood of animals come out to play!

Cosmic Reverie by Teeny Fletcher - Werribee artist Teeny Fletcher takes us on a journey from dusk to dawn in a beautiful, dreamy glowing light walk.

Mamma’s Top Tips for the BEST night!

  1. Charge your phone – you’re going to want to take a LOT of photos!
