science is a superpower festival at scienceworks

The Science is a Superpower Festival returns to Scienceworks on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September — and the best news is kids go free.

Across two days, families can discover the power of science through hands-on activities, live demonstrations and interactive experiments designed to spark curiosity and creativity.

Festival Highlights

  • Experience the crackle of electricity in the Lightening Theatre

  • See Monash’s Banksia robot in action at the Arena

  • Test your speed and skill in Sportsworks, including a virtual race against Cathy Freeman

  • Discover how food can be grown in extreme conditions with the Plants for Space team

  • Build inventions and problem-solve at Tinkertown with Engineers Australia

  • Step into the future in Think Ahead and contribute to the Wall of Kindness

The festival builds on Museums Victoria’s award-winning Science is a Superpower video series, which has inspired more than four million viewers to see themselves as scientists and innovators.

It is set to be a weekend of science festival fun at one of Mamma’s favourite places - we will see you there!
