You know Mamma LOVES a great family adventure lunch..one that makes Mamma, Dadda and the kiddo’s happy.
Well, this is one of those places. Hidden away in the rolling hills of Keilor is this lovely winery, restaurant and stud farm/horse ajistment property. With lovely views overlooking a grassy gully, and the airport in the distance (where you can hear and watch the huge planes come in to land), lovely outdoor seating areas, and a huge indoor hall (plus function spaces in the stables), this is a perfect way to graze away your weekend.
The predominantly Italian menu is great - with some real winners in the chicken wings and croquettes. Kids options include pizza in the shape of Mickey Mouse (kind of anyway!), and pasta, and chips of course. Mamma says try the estates own Rose too, it’s lovely. You will see horses leisurely being ridden right by your table and go visit some more of these majestic creatures in the surrounding paddocks.
This place has a real country relaxed feel - but it can get very busy on a Sunday so make sure you book
Also keep a look out as Arundel often holds family fun days with animal farms - we LOVE playing with the rabbits, sheep and goats! Make sure you book when it’s on!
