Tucked into a quiet pocket of Wyndham Vale, Millbrook Drive Park is one of those playgrounds that delivers way more than you expect when you first pull up.

The standout here, and something kids absolutely love, is the mini road bike track that loops around the playground, complete with street signs, a roundabout and even a little petrol station stop. Bring the scooters or bikes because this is the kind of place where kids happily lap the track over and over while practising their “road rules”.

Right in the middle of the track you’ll find a playground with things to climb, spin and explore. There’s a tall climbing tower with a wave slide, rope nets and climbing elements for adventurous kids, plus an impressive atom-style rope climbing frame with a slide that really draws the bigger kids in. Younger visitors haven’t been forgotten either, with a sandpit complete with diggers, interactive play pieces like speak-and-listen tubes and musical elements, plus swings including a basket swing and traditional swings.

If you’re planning to stay a while, this park makes it easy. There are BBQ facilities and sheltered picnic tables, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed lunch or a weekend catch-up with friends while the kiddos play. There’s also a toilet block onsite (always a win!) and plenty of open grassy space surrounding the playground, perfect for kicking a ball, laying down a picnic rug or letting little ones run off extra energy.

A few practical things - on-street parking is available along Millbrook Drive, and while there is some shade from the picnic shelters and nearby trees, hats and sunscreen are a good idea on warmer days. With the fun bike track, climbing challenges and plenty of space to run around, Millbrook Drive Park is one of those local gems that can easily turn a quick play into a much longer stay!
