eclipse in bloom, geelong

Winter nights in the West just got a whole lot more magical!

If you're looking for something a little different this July, pack the coats, grab the kids and head to Geelong Botanic Gardens for Eclipse: In Bloom – a spectacular after-dark light trail that transforms the gardens into a glowing wonderland.

Follow the illuminated trail as you wander beneath glowing trees, discover giant light installations and watch the gardens come alive with colour, sound and interactive displays inspired by Australian native flowers, pollinators and wildlife. Every twist and turn will reveal another "wow" moment from your kiddos, making it just as exciting for you Mamma as it is for them!

The walk is self-paced, takes around an hour and is suitable for all ages, making it an easy family outing without worrying about overtired little legs.

Rug everyone up, stop for a hot chocolate at Where You Meet cafe (that’s right, the cafe right in the middle of the Botanic Gardens!), and enjoy seeing one of Geelong's most beautiful spots in a completely different light. It's magical without being overwhelming, and a perfect winter evening adventure.

Running on selected nights until 26 July, Eclipse: In Bloom is one of those limited-time experiences you'll be so glad you made time for. Whether you're planning a family night out, catching up with friends or simply looking to sprinkle a little extra magic, this dazzling light experience is absolutely worth the drive. Just be sure to book your tickets before you go to secure your spot!
