Dino’s at the Zoo is BACK from the Jurassic times and ready to rule the earth once more!
As you enter the Zoo, follow the signs and footprints towards the Werribee River Trail. Through the Dinos at the Zoo gates, you will find the home of some very familiar creatures! DINOSAURS! Roaar!
These life-sized animatronic dinos are motion sensor activated and can give you a bit of a jump scare, adding to the whole experience.
This year it is an Indiana Jones inspired prehistoric adventure. Let your imagination run wild as you encounter 14 awe-inspiring Dinosaurs, smoking volcanoes, bubbling swamps, dino footprints and unearth life-like dino fossils.
This is only on for a limited time - so if you have some dino crazy kiddos - it is a great little outing for the school holidays and beyond!

You will get to see the dinos lit up in a stunning light show!
This begins at 5.30 (they will not let you in to the zoo earlier) but lights are best from 6.15
What’s On
Dinosaur Light Show
For eight unforgettable nights, experience towering dinosaurs illuminated by breathtaking light shows and electrifying special effects. It’s your chance to see these prehistoric giants come alive after dark!
Roving Performers
Keep your eyes peeled for our roving performers: a stilt walker, fire twirler, and a hoola hoop performer. They’ll surprise and delight throughout the night.
Disco Glow Zone
Step into the neon-lit dance floor where the beats are big and the vibes are prehistoric. Everyone can groove to family‑friendly tracks and dino‑tastic tunes under brilliant glow effects. Grab a hula hoop or spinning plate and take your dance game to the next level! Our circus performer will be right there with tips, tricks, and plenty of flair to help you master the moves.
Snow Zone
Need to cool down after all that fun? The Snow Zone is perfect for little adventurers and curious explorers. Run, jump and dance amongst the snow as the African Village transforms into a snowy, immersive playground.
Food & Beverage
If all that pre-historic fun has you feeling thirsty or hungry, enjoy our special Dino-curated menu. Don’t miss seasonal treats and grab and go favourites!
Get your hot chocolate and head to the fire pits where the flames are crackling and the toasting magic begins.
Fire Pits & Toasting Marshallows
Grab a marshmallow and stick and have a turn at toasting a marshallow over the fire pit. Get in quick – they’re sure to be a hit
Please note: This is a fully outdoor experience. Dress warmly, bring your sense of adventure, and wear comfortable shoes.
Take your night to the next level by bringing your torch and wear your glow-in-the dark clothing or accessories.
Animals and the usual zoo trails will not be on display during this event.
