CHARGE YOUR ENGINES! It’s time to see if you have what it takes to race with the BEST! So get your car on the track!
What track? This is a remote control car (or electric off road car) track, where you can come to build your skills, or race. The track is about 200 metres long with winds and bends and jumps, and can take you anywhere from a few minutes to under 30 seconds to finish. There is a high platform to view the course as you go around the track.
Now, this track is run by the Keilor Electric Off Road Car Association and you do ned to become a member to access the track - but a yearly membership for under 16 is $20 (per financial year) and $70 for a family. This also gets you voting rights AND lets you race in all RCRA race meetings. These race meets happen twice a month.
They are always welcoming of new members so don’t be shy, and they are always willing to give advice.
The track is quiet on weekdays and on weekends where there isn’t a meet so you have plenty of time to practise!
