FREE FAMILY FUN at seawork's winter solstice festival, williamstown

The Seaworks Winter Solstice Festival is a FREE event celebrating the longest night and the shortest day of the year, marking the start of the winter season. What a great place to spend a wintry evening celebrating maritime heritage, giant puppets, circus food and wine!

FAMILY FUN
The festival promises to be an exciting event with heaps of entertainment for all ages. Mamma says to expect a range of activities, including giant puppets by the amazing Blanck Canvas, Airena and Studio Eness, plus circus performances by The Sway, live music, dance and more.

The festival also features:

  • market stalls

  • Plus a variety of food and wine vendors.

WHAT IS WINTER SOLSTICE?
The festival has its roots in ancient traditions and has been celebrated by different cultures around the world for thousands of years. It is often associated with the rebirth of the sun and the return of light after the darkness of winter.

There is free parking on Ann Street and paid parking on Nelson Place
