mr grubb @ oakdene winery, ocean grove

Mamma has a cafe for you to check out if you are heading to Ocean Grove - and it’s a good one!

Mr Grubb is a hidden gem that is nestled amongst the birch trees right next to the ‘Upside-Down House’ Cellar Door within the Oakdene Estate. The cafe was set up to offer foodies like us something more family friendly on a budget - and it’s really hit the mark!

There’s such a relaxed vibe when you walk into Mr Grubb. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area with heaps of shade, covered with fairy lights and a huge grass area for the kids to run around on.

Mamma loves to order either the seafood linguine or the “Bang Bang” chicken with Malaysian spice, slaw and crispy noodles when she visits. There is good variety with the kids meals too - your little ones can choose their favourites from pizza, fish and chips, and even cheeseburgers - and will be able to polish it off with some icecream.

Don’t start Mamma on the desserts - cheesecake, churros and icecream sundaes feature on this extensive menu.

Mr Grubb is definitely a winner - check it out next time you are near Ocean Grove!
