What a pub! The Swiss Mountain Hotel not only has a great name - it IS great. REALLY great.
As we arrive, we get excited with the scent of the crackling fireplace that warms up the welcoming rustic bar and bistro space. Rock walls and timber are the vibe here. It was renovated about 15 years ago so feels new-ish but has kept all the character you want in a country pub. It has a long history too - it is actually one of the oldest weatherboard continuous licensed pubs in Victoria. Built in 1865!
The food is excellent, with a mix of classic pub faves, but also has a great mix of tapas options too - like bao buns, nachos or salmon and caviar. We LOVE how they bring out freshly made bread and pesto dip for complimentary starters too!
The service is so friendly - what else do you expect from wonderful country folk!
There is a stunning outdoor area too - so a pub for all seasons really!
