Smaller and friendlier than its larger counterparts, Sunset Cinema is perfect for those who love to socialise but hate crowds & queues. (Mamma raises her hand…!). Bring your own bean bag or picnic rug OR get a ticket to the lawn lounge where they provide the bean bags (some popcorn and a drink) - you can also hire them if they have any left.Read More

Mamma loves the moon and rarely misses an opportunity to gaze up at it when it is at its fullest and brightest.
Well, this is an amazing opportunity to get up close and take some time to marvel at Earth's only permanent natural satellite. Museum of the Moon at Scienceworks is quite breathtaking.
This little adventure couldn’t be more perfect! The boat ride across the bay is beautiful, stress free, swift, exciting and most of all fun. Your St Kilda destination is gorgeous, arriving at St Kilda pier, immersed in the beachside vibes - it truly feels like you are on a little holiday!
Oh and The St Kilda ferry and their crew are so lovely - assisting with getting prams on board and they are so lovely with the kids too.
Mamma suggests a Sunday is a good option - the St Kilda Esplanade market is on and always nice to peruse the stalls, stop for some food tuck yummies and take in the atmosphere. You could always plan a family trip to Luna Park or if you are on a tight budget pack a picnic and head for the absolutely lovely Veg Out Community Gardens or St Kilda Botanical Gardens.
Mamma’s special mention: Gem Pier, Nelsons Place and Commonwealth Reserve here in Williamstown is a are a great place for adventure too.
Calling all small biz folks! Many of us local biz owners know the pitfalls that come with working from home. You know what we are talking about. A lack of motivation, nobody but the dog to 'high five' when you get a win, distractions of THAT pile of washing staring at you from the corner of the room and a general need to connect and interact with other peeps. Well, that all changed for Mamma when we discovered OfficeOurs. This place is just fantastic and much more than a co-working space. Firstly, the open office layout is modern, roomy and bright, secondly the meeting rooms, kitchen and facilities are great. It honestly makes a huge difference in the working day to be around other busy people going about their day. Motivation levels increase and we forgot all about the fact we hadn't made the bed when we left the house.
So there are a couple of options here - you can grab a share desk from about $5 an hour, this gives you access to the meeting rooms, photocopying and buckets of coffee and chats with the fab office manager Jordan.
Mamma's special mentions : OfficeOurs invites everyone to take part in social and professional activities including: end of week drinks, networking opportunities, professional development opportunities and much more.

Mamma loves pulling on some wheels and taking the kids for a spin at the local skate rink and this is certainly the perfect spot for doing just that. Not only is there the fab main rink there is a little learners rink at the back with plenty of helpful staff to give you a hand with anything you need on the rink or at the skating fitting station. It really is good old fashioned fun with the usual kinds of games thrown in and cool music to bob around too. Yes, Mamma loves the disco lights on a Friday and Saturday night too.
There is also a bouncy castle and little 'cars' you can take out onto the rink for small kids and of course there is a snack bar too for your 'have to have' hot chips and treats.
Mamma's special mentions: They even do birthday parties so check out their package deals here
